Classes have been rocking lately and the atmosphere and energy are at an all time high.

Crocktoberfest was so much fun last night. A big thank you to everyone who participated. The food was outstanding and it was a great evening of conversation, friendship, and community. Among the many things for which I am grateful, the genuinely awesome people that make up Catacombs are near the top of the list.

We are well over the halfway point in the Whole Life Challenge and so many of you are really putting some hard work into this. The community support has been outstanding for those that have put themselves out there and been willing to honestly work on changing their habits. No one has been perfect, but we are all a little better than we were at the beginning.

One of the best parts of the Whole Life Challenge (in my opinion), is the emphasis it puts on self-reflection and slowing down a little bit. CrossFitters are typically hard chargers and slowing down is not something that we typically do well. I am always looking for ways to be MORE productive and move FASTER. Often these efforts only get in my own way and result in higher levels of frustration and less net accomplishment. This Whole Life Challenge has brought that into focus for me and given me the occasion to put some practices into place to help reel that in. It is a work in progress, but one that I'm enjoying putting some effort into. I have heard many of you acknowledge the difference in mental clarity and productivity that you have seen through improved nutrition and dialing back alcohol consumption. No one makes perfect choices in this realm 100% of the time, but the recognition of the impact these factors have can be pretty powerful.

For those of you not participating in the Whole Life Challenge, thanks for your patience and support. We have less than 4 weeks to go. And don't worry,  we have more opportunities to plug in coming your way with the Concept 2 Holiday Challenge, Bring a Friend Day, and much, much more.

Get outside and enjoy the beautiful fall weather while it lasts. And start working on those snow dances as winter is around the corner.
