New Year's is just around the corner and we know that health and fitness resolutions will be on the minds of many. Did you know that 95% of all New Year's resolutions are forsaken within the first 2 weeks? That is not a very impressive statistic if you are looking to make lasting changes in your life. There are a myriad of reasons why most people fail, but we would like to help stack the odds in favor of your success in 2015.

When I think about why most resolutions fail, there are three things that come to mind: structure, accountability, and support. Without a structured plan, resolutions are just good intentions without legs. It doesn't matter how badly you want something, if you don't have a structure and a plan to achieve it, it will likely remain out of reach. But having a plan only gets you part of the way. Change is hard. Without the right people in your corner, sustaining those first tentative steps toward a new habit quickly becomes overwhelming. And finally, accountability keeps you honest. Positive changes are so easily toppled by minor setbacks, apathy, or a change in routine. If you are not accountable to someone, it's easy to let those setbacks become the new norm.

Our Starting Line program provides structure, support, and accountability. It's the best possible way to ensure your success in improving your health and fitness in 2015. Here's how it works. You commit to a Starting Line session for January. Come January 5th, you meet 6 of your new best friends that are all on the same journey as you. Together, you tackle a challenging curriculum designed to prepare you for regular CrossFit workouts. It will not be easy, but you will get through it together. Every session your confidence, strength and proficiency grows as well as your bonds with your classmates. Your coaches guide you, inspire you, and hold you accountable to giving your best effort every time you walk through the door. At the end of Starting Line, you have a plan and a support network to keep you going. Not to mention the beginnings of an exercise addiction and and some wicked accountability to keep you honest. Doesn't that sound a little more promising than hitting the treadmill in your basement 3 times a week in the wee hours?

Registration for January Starting Line opens today. There are two sessions with six spots in each session.  If you want to be a part of this crew, don't wait to sign up as these sessions will likely fill to capacity. The sessions run for two weeks on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The morning session meets at 6:30 AM and the evening session meets at 6:00 PM. Don't miss the opportunity to start the journey toward renewed health and fitness in a sustainable way.
