Hey Guys--

I hope you are all as excited as I am about our new home. It has been a huge push and we are very thankful for all of your help, support, and encouragement. While the coaching and commitment to our community of athletes will absolutely not waiver, there are a few things that will change with our move. I'm going to take a crack at a few of them here, but I'm sure there will be more.

Parking
Our new location is amazing and offers so many benefits over our humble beginnings. One thing that it does NOT have, however, is plentiful PARKING. We will do everything we can to ease this transition for you, but it will require some adjustment. Here is the lowdown:

  • There is ALWAYS ample parking on 12th St adjacent to our new gym and Buckley Park. There will be no issue for early classes or late classes or weekend classes as parking on the street is plentiful and free. There is also free parking within a few blocks.
  • We are centrally located and easily accessible via the bike path. We will have an awesome bike rack and may occasionally spare you some warmup burpees if you bike or jog to class.
  • We will have an emergency change container so that not having parking money will NEVER be an excuse to skip your workout. However, if you are a regular at the midday classes and need to drive, prepaid parking cards are available through the Transit Center.
  • Parking spaces in our actual lot will be leased to help us offset the sizable investment we have made with our move. There aren't enough to go around for our members anyway, so it doesn't really make sense to create a competition around parking spots.

Check-In Kiosk
Our new front desk will be equipped with a check-in kiosk similar to what you already use (or are supposed to use). Please commit to checking in to class every time you come in. It is critical for us to keep track of who is here and when we need to add more classes to the schedule. You will also be able to use the kiosk to buy a FitAid, a bag of Progenex or a t-shirt without tracking down a coach. We will of course be there to guide you through the process the first couple of times and are always happy to help.

Showers
We have doubled our bathroom/shower capacity to eliminate that as a choke point in getting on with your day. We will also offer towel service for those of you that frequently use showers. We are doing this to keep the shower areas tidier and to make it more convenient for you by not having to bring and store your own towels. You can add this service to your regular membership for $5 per month or use the kiosk on the front desk to charge your account on an as-needed basis.

Cubbies/Personal Storage
We are adding cubbies for cell phones, wallets and keys in the back area within sight of our workout rooms. With our new space being right on Main St, we weren't comfortable asking you to leave all your valuables by the front door while you were gutting it out in the back. Please utilize these for small personal items rather than bringing them into the workout room (unless of course, you are a doctor/first responder/medical professional on call...then, by all means, do what you need to do.) Please take all of these items with you at the end of your workout. There will not be long-term storage available for personal workout gear in our new space. Please take your things with you when you go so that we can keep our space clean and orderly.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions and thanks again for all for your support to help make this dream a reality.
