Happy Monday Crew--
It's a wet, gray morning as I write this. Combine that with a Monday and it could be a recipe for a rough start to the week. We won't let that derail us though, now will we? We've added a lot of new faces in the last 6 months so I wanted to revisit a topic that I know we have covered before, but a reminder never hurts...
I know many of you plan your schedules out for the week (or two) in advance. You put your workouts in your calendars with the best intentions and are committed. After all, it won't happen if you don't, right? But then, an unexpected meeting gets scheduled or you are up later into the night than you anticipated and your resolve starts to waiver. Then, you glance at the workout and see that there are 200M runs and you really don't like 200M runs. Or, you don't know what a Farmer's Carry is and you aren't sure if you want to find out. You start to think about how many other ways you could use that hour and maybe even convince yourself that you need a rest day...even though yesterday was a rest day too. Before long, you have talked yourself out of your workout only to be flooded by regret later.
Sound familiar? We all have had these occasions. Don't be yourself up, just don't let it become a pattern. There are legitimate reasons to cancel your workout. Here are a few:
If you do need to skip a workout for which you have signed up, please make sure to cancel your reservation as soon as you realize you won't make it. That allows someone else to take your spot. You can cancel up to 4 hours prior to your workout. If it is within the 4 hour window, you will not be able to cancel your reservation. It is unlikely that anyone else will be able to take your spot on such short notice anyway. We know that this will occasionally be unavoidable and will be understanding as long as it isn't a pattern. Just shoot us an email by way of explanation so we don't worry about you.
Questions about any of this? Just ask us. We are ALWAYS happy to help. And thanks all for the awesome job signing up (and signing in) for classes lately. We know things have been a bit tight at certain times of the day and we are working on it. I promise. We are doing our best to let as many athletes in at prime times as possible without compromising your safety or our coaching. I sincerely appreciate everyone's willingness to work together and help out.
