Catacombs Welcomes CrossFit Transitions

Are you consistently modifying WODs due to injury, but aren’t progressing back to full recovery?

Have you been discharged from physical therapy post injury/surgery but are afraid or unable to bridge the gap back to CrossFit?

Are you unsure of what you should or shouldn’t be doing to get back to regular WODs following an injury?

We know how hard it is when you are on the road to recovery and are itching to get back to your regular workout routine. There is often the temptation to push before you are ready and this can result in longterm setbacks. CrossFit Transitions is a private training program designed to address these needs. The program, run out of Catacombs, is headed up by local physical therapist Ashlie Angel, PT, MSPT, CMPT.  The program will begin with a one-hour initial evaluation to assess your needs and goals. Subsequent sessions will be one-on-one or in small groups.  Sessions will provide a workout under the watchful eye of a physical therapist, but will also target your specific deficits and dysfunctions to expedite your return to regular classes.  Sessions will also include specific mobility, stability and strengthening exercises as well as education on each injury and the recovery process. Think of it as the bridge between physical therapy and regular group classes.

Ashlie has 15 years of experience as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist. She has also been a CrossFit athlete for the past 5 years, utilizing it to build strength and power while preventing injury during race season.  She also holds a degree in Nutritional Science.  She has run her own practice and has worked with athletes from all over the country.  As an accomplished athlete herself, she understands an athlete’s desire to get back to their passion as quickly as possible.  Ashlie is a sponsored Xterra (off-road) triathlete and a previous Age Group National Champion.  She is a former Pro Mountain Biker, Division I Collegiate Track and Field Athlete, and an avid skier.

Call or email Ashlie directly to schedule your Transitions Sessions (970-769-5355 or email ashliedurango@gmail.com).
