On Getting High

This week, Tracie and I are getting high with our children and couldn't be more excited about it. It's what you do in Colorado, right? No, not that people; get your mind out of the dispensary. High = above 10,000 feet, where the wildflowers grow.

Now let me say a few things about this. First and foremost, thanks for letting us escape on a family trip as summer rapidly winds towards fall and the routines of school. We could not be more excited about having a break and spending quality time with our family and a couple of llamas.

Second, I challenge you to use all the fitness gains you have made at the gym and go for a epic hike or climb a mountain in the coming weeks. Set aside a weekend day, an evening or call in sick at work.  But whatever you do, get high, enjoy the wildflowers, breathe thin air, and cherish the fleeting moments of summer in this beautiful place we call home. And please send us some pictures of YOUR alpine adventure.
