Hey Catacombs Crew--
There are some important things going down at the gym that you don't want to miss out on. It has been great to see so many faces in the gym this week on a consistent basis. The energy level is high and it has been fun to incorporate some new movements into group classes. Read on for important events like the Whole Life Challenge, Spring Starting Line, and Class Sign Up policy.
Starting Line-- Our Spring Starting Line kicks off Monday. Classes are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday at 6 PM for two weeks. We still have a few spots left and this will be the last Starting Line Session until summer. If you've been thinking about joining the community or have friends and family that you want to bring into the fold, sign up online using the button on the right sidebar or email tracie@crossfitcatacombs.com.
Whole Life Challenge-- Do not miss out on this friends. It has the potential to change your life in ways that you can't yet see. Every athlete in the gym will benefit from taking this challenge on. This is not an all or nothing challenge. You earn points for making good choices in the realm of nutrition, hydration, mobility, stress management, and exercise. Read the previous blog post below for details or ask one of the coaches. They are all on board and PUMPED about this challenge. Sign up is $39 if you register by April 15th. Friends, coworkers, and family are welcome to join as part of our team as well. You can register using this link: http://www.whole.lc/wlcmay15/pt/crossfitcatacombs
Class Size and Sign up-- Classes have been a bit fuller this week and we've had a couple that exceeded our 10 person limit. Please remember that class signup is required. We aren't trying to be difficult here, but limiting class size preserves the integrity of our classes to ensure that every athlete gets coached in every class. This way we all stay safe and get better every time we come to the gym. If you show up to class and are not signed up, there is a mandatory 10 burpee penalty. Additionally, if class is full, we may not be able to accommodate you in the class. If you are looking for a class with less people and more individual attention, check out the 6:30 AM, Noon, or 6 PM class. Small, well-coached classes are a basic tenet of our identity and we will not compromise on this front. Similarly, if you are signed up for a class, it is a commitment that you are going to attend. If you don't show up, it may mean that someone else did not get to workout because you took a slot that you didn't use. If your schedule changes and you can't make it, please cancel as far in advance as possible. If your alarm goes off and you don't want to get up, too bad. Get up anyway. The same rules apply if you are signed up for 5 PM class and your coworkers all decide to go to happy hour. Honor your commitment.
Alright folks, that is all I have for today. I consider it an incredible honor that you entrust your health and fitness to Catacombs and am so grateful that I get to work with each and every one of you on a daily basis.
