You have asked for it, now it is here. If you have been around Catacombs very long, you know that I think nutrition is more important than exercise when it comes to how you look, how you feel, and what you are able to do in the gym day in and day out. Of course I think the exercise piece is pretty important, but you can undo all the work you put in at the gym with what you put in your mouth on a daily basis. The messages we have gotten from the food industry, traditional nutritionists, the government, and even our own parents have led us to a false understanding of what types of foods make us healthier and which foods may be making us sick, or at the very minimum, suboptimal. This is not just my opinion, it is my experience. And I dare you to give it a 30-day test drive and prove me wrong.

The details are still being ironed out, but I want you to start thinking about if the Fall Food Challenge is for you. Successful completion of the challenge will not be easy. In fact, many of you will read the details of what it requires and immediately decide it isn't for you. That's okay. Just giving it a passing consideration counts as huge progress for many of you. It may be the first step in your journey. Others of you will charge forth with great gusto only to hit a brick wall on day three when the sugar cravings overpower you. You too will have made great progress and learned a little something about yourself along the way. But a few persistent souls will make it all the way through the 30 day challenge and will emerge on the other side with a new awareness of how it feels to be free from the inflammation, lethargy, and excess baggage that processed foods, sugar, and the Standard American Diet deal out so liberally. Your understanding of nutrition's role in health and wellness will be changed forever.

Want to know more? Stay tuned. I will be rolling out details right here as the week unfolds.
