First, thanks to all of you who showed up for the nutrition talk last night. I'll be doing a wrap up of what we covered in an upcoming post, but I was impressed by the turnout and thoughtful questions you brought up. All the work you do in the gym can be easily unravelled by poor choices in the kitchen. It is clear to me that many of you are ready to start making some different choices and trying something other than the Standard American Diet. Kudos to you and we've got your back while you are venturing into the jungle of a healthier way of eating. Tom and I will be working on the details of a nutrition challenge for late summer and either of us are always willing to talk about nutrition if you want to know more.

Speaking of food, don't forget about the Grand Opening Party on Saturday. We will be grilling, recreating, and celebrating the first couple of months of CrossFit Catacombs. Please bring a side dish, beverages to share, and your friends and family. We will kick off around 4 PM.

Last but not least, let's talk about class times. The move to 5:30 and 6:30 AM classes seems to be working well. Both classes have been well attended this week and I appreciate your efforts in signing up for classes. Some of you have mentioned to me that you would like to come to class when there are fewer people and you can get a little more personalized attention. I completely understand this and strive to make sure every athlete gets that in every class. Still, if you want an environment where our eyes are on more of your reps, the noon classes and the 6 PM classes have been pretty sparsely attended lately. Try out one of those class times and see if the environment feels a little more comfortable for you.
