Kelsey, aka KMac, can’t remember a time when athletics hasn’t been a part of her life. Growing up in a sport‑dominated household, she fell in love with sports and competing. She graduated from Plymouth State University in 2007 with a degree in Exercise Science and competed as a two‑sport collegiate athlete in soccer and lacrosse, an experience that shaped her lifelong curiosity about how the body moves, adapts, and heals.
KMac has been coaching and training all ages of athletes for over 10 years. She began her career in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level and, in 2008, moved into the rehabilitation and personal training world, working as an Exercise Physiologist under the guidance of several physical therapists in the Boston area. Since then, her work has increasingly focused on helping people move better, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love.
Kelsey’s Coaching Training included: Movement Specialist through The Ready State, an Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer through Adaptive Training Academy, and a CrossFit Level 2 Coach. Her coaching blends ground‑up training (feet and gait work), nervous system and breath work, rehabilitation‑focused training, strength work, and gymnastics skills. She is especially passionate about supporting adaptive athletes and athletes dealing with recurring injuries or mobility limitations, helping them rebuild confidence, capacity, and resilience.
KMac has been a member of Catacombs since 2016 and a coach since 2019. She loves working with athletes who want to improve their movement quality, address nagging pain, and build strength and skills—whether that’s in gymnastics, lifting, or everyday life. Above all, she cares deeply about meeting people where they are and partnering with them to create sustainable, empowering progress inside and outside the gym.
